Dentistry is changing, and for the better.
We know that attending the dentist used to be a major hurdle for many people, but it no longer has to be this way. At Kingdom Clinic we will change your view of dentistry! From the design of our clinic, the training of our staff and investment in the latest sedation equipment, our goal is to make your treatment a positive experience.
We are well aware that receiving the most basic dental treatment can lead to fear and anxiety for some. But rest assured, we offer dental sedation with all of our treatments, no matter how small (or big) that treatment may be.
You are not alone. You may feel embarrassed about your fear or the condition of your teeth. Don’t let this be an obstacle to improving your dental well-being. We have seen it all before! We take great pride in helping you conquer your fears and introducing you to a world where dentistry is rewarding and comfortable.
We offer a full range of sedation services, including oral, inhalation and intravenous sedation.
You take a prescribed sedative tablet one hour before your appointment. The medication slowly enters your system and allows you to feel a calmness while the procedure is being performed.
This is commonly referred to as “gas and air” or “laughing gas”. It is very effective for children or for shorter simpler treatments. It has very rapid recovery time with no after effects.
This is the most effective method for longer treatments or for patients with greater anxieties. It is so effective that even the most anxious patients drift off to sleep during treatment.
To choose the most suitable method for you, why not make an appointment for a consultaion today. Call 064 7763010 or email email@example.com. You will be glad you did!
Sedation for children
Children sometimes feel worried about going to the dentist. The importance of happy dental experiences at a young age is a critical for reducing dental anxieties later in life.
For your child, one of the safest and most effective ways to help your child feel happy and relaxed is to give them ‘inhalation sedation’. This is commonly known as ‘laughing gas’.
Children tolerate this gas very well as it makes them happy and giggly, and they report a warm “floating” feeling. It is safe and short-acting. This means your child does not have any longer lasting effects and can return home or to school immediately after treatment. During the short acting phase, dental treatment can be performed comfortably.
Inhalation sedation is a safer and more cost-effective solution than general anaesthetic for most child dental procedures. Inhalation sedation has no health risks for patients. It is the safest sedation method for a children.
Inhalation sedation at Kingdom Clinic is provided by Dr Margaret O’Connor, a skilled sedation trained dentist.
It is a relief to parents to see their child happy and relaxed during treatment, safe in the knowledge that it positively influences their future acceptance of dentistry.
